Fish Time (Vessel Registration 67871) is a 2026, 6.7 m long cuddy-cabin Bar Crusher 670C available for commercial aquatic scientific work under Neira Marine Sciences Consulting (Marscco; ABN 63 611 453 621). The vessel is operated by Marscco’s Director who holds a Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal - Certificate No. NC53118).
The vessel falls under AMSA’s Category 2 operations (non-passenger vessel – up to 12 passengers) and has been certified and approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) to operate as a non-survey vessel in Class D (partially smooth waters) and E (smooth waters) in Tasmania (estuaries and coastal marine areas) under exemption EX02-12735. A Safety Management System (SMS) developed for Fish Time describes the safe operation of the vessel, and the provision of a safe and healthy working environment for the Owner/Master and passengers and pollution prevention. The SMS follows the Simplified Safety Management System toolkit developed by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) for Class 2 and Class 3 domestic commercial vessels, as a mandatory requirement under Marine Order 504 (Certificates of Operations) dated 1 June 2025.
