Oceanography
Marscco can assist with various aspects of biological and physical oceanography, including:
- Depth-stratified water currents velocity/direction using seabed-moored and/or vessel-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs)
- Oceanographic profiling (T, S, DO and chlorophyll a) using vessel-deployed Conductivity-Temperature-Depth probes (CTDs)
- ADCP-based backscatter intensity as proxy of water turbidity
- Identification of mixed layer and photic zone depth
- Upwelling assessment via vertically-stratified data and analysis of sea-surface temperatures (SSTs) from composite satellite images
- Water nutrients and heavy metals
