Oceanography

Marscco can assist with various aspects of biological and physical oceanography, including:

• Depth-stratified water currents velocity/direction using seabed-moored and/or vessel-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs)
• Oceanographic profiling (T, S, DO and chlorophyll a) using vessel-deployed Conductivity-Temperature-Depth probes (CTDs)
• ADCP-based backscatter intensity as proxy of water turbidity
• Identification of mixed layer and photic zone depth
• Upwelling assessment via vertically-stratified data and analysis of sea-surface temperatures (SSTs) from composite satellite images
• Water nutrients and heavy metals
